For three days, grade 2 students learned about the history, culture and traditions of the capital of Lower Silesia - Wrocław. We went to the Zoo, enjoyed a steamboat cruise on the Odra River, and learnt a lesson on noble tradition as described in Adam Mickiewicz's "Pan Tadeusz" during a visit to a branch of the Ossolineum Museum. Through the city streets, we walked to the building of the University of Wrocław with the wonderful Leopoldina Hall. We got to know the priceless collections of the National Museum and found "zen" in a blooming Japanese garden. There was time for talks, good food and very long, evening walks among the streets and islands of this magical city. Wroclaw has been conquered!
