Timetable for Pre-Diploma Programme
1. Polish
- 5 lessons per week
- broadening general knowledge in Polish
- analyzing and interpreting selected fragments
- foreign students are required to complete 3 lessons of Polish language per week
2. English * we also offer English as the First Language
- 6 lessons per week
- studying from handbooks, broadening vocabulary, revising grammar, elements of cultural knowledge about the English-speaking countries
- entry exam is required (candidates with FCE, CAE or CPE are not required to take the written part)
3. English literature
- 2 lessons per week
- introduction to English literature
- analyzing selected fragments of prose and poetry of the Anglo-Saxon countries
3. Spanish / German
- 3 lessons per week
- groups divided according to the students’ level
4. Maths
- 6 lessons per week – proprietary curriculum based on IB Mathematical Studies programme enriched with a glossary of English terms, which allows students to effectively begin their education in I Diploma Programme class
- entry exam required
5. Humanities – Geography, History
- 2 lessons per week of each subject (taught in English)
- developing linguistic skills
- elements of geography and history of Poland
6. Environmental studies – Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- 2 lessons per week of each subject (taught in English)
- developing linguistic skills
7. Information Technology (one semester)
- Preparation for ECDL exam – European Computer Driving Licence
8. IB Essentials
- 2 lessons per week of each subject (taught in English)
- introduction to IB Programme (philosophy, academic honesty, subjects, CAS, TOK, EE, learning methods, project-based learning... )
9. Tutor lesson / Elements of CAS
- 1 lesson per week
10. Physical Education
- 2 lessons per week – in the gym
11. Optional artistic extracurricular activities
- 2 lessons per week
- Theatre / Singing / Arts
12. Religion - optional
Students who are Polish citizens are required to take one Polish geography lesson and one Polish history lesson per week.
