School admission 2022/2023 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Class: pre-DP1, preDP2, DP1

Students who wish to continue their education in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Prywatne Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Melchiora Wańkowicza, shall submit the following documents to initiate the admission process.

Entrance examinations

Application deadline: June 1, 2022 (Wednesday)

Written part: June 3, 2022 (Friday): (on school premises)

14:00 - 15:30 English

16:00 - 17:30 Mathematics

Oral part: 4-10 June 2022: – self-presentation in English: (on school premises or on-line)

Additional information:

  1. All documents must be submitted in Polish or English
  2. The Mathematics exam is available in two language versions: Polish and English.The use of a calculator is allowed.
  3. The examination fee of PLN 100 should be paid at the school office or to the school bank account below, before taking the exam.

  4. There is a possibility of conducting individual exams at a different time, by prior arrangement with the IB coordinator.

Application results

Students are admitted to the International Baccalaureate Program (class preDP-1, preDP2, DP1) based on the following: the most recent school certificate, a current academic year school transcript, results of the entrance examinations, extracurricular achievements.Each candidate’s general attitude and educational maturity are also taken into account when considering his or her readiness to start the program.

The results of the selection procedure will be available on June 14, 2022.

Due to the recent change of the legal status concerning the protection of the rights and freedom of natural persons, especially the right to protect personal data and identities, we are obliged to inform you about the range of processing the students' and parents'/guardians' personal data, further referred to as “your personal data”.

On May 25th, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation of European Parliament and EU Council 2016/679 of April 27th, 2016, was enforced, concerning the protection of natural persons in connection with personal data processing and concerning free flow of aforementioned data, and the revocation of the Directive 95/46/WE, further referred to as: General Data Protection Regulation/GDPR/Regulation 2016/679.

Regulation 2016/679 is a legal act which regulates all matters concerning processing personal data in a complex way. One of many duties of the administrator of the data, Prywatne Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. M. Wańkowicza in Katowicach, Witosa 18 (further referred to as PLOMW), is informing whom it may concern about specific matters..

Considering the above, we hereby inform you that the administrator of your personal data is Prywatne Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. M. Wańkowicza in Katowicach, Witosa 18. According to the rules stated by Article 37, Section 1, Letter A of the Regulation 2016/679, we have appointed an inspector of personal data protection, who is available at the phone number 32 254 91 94, or by sending mail to PLOMW, adding the clause “IOD”. Considering the content of Article 28 of Regulation 2016/679, we may delegate data processing to providers of services needed for PLOMW to function properly. We delegate data processing to, among others, providers of electronic tools which support the education process, IT service providers, or hosting services providers. In justified cases, the receivers of personal data may be subjects or organs which we are obliged to provide with personal data, according to the current legal regulations.

Your personal data is not given to third countries. Your personal data are processed basing on legal regulations which govern the system of education, and their revealing is compulsory in the range in which we realize the imposed legal duties. In justified cases, processing your personal data by PLOMW may require your consent (e.g. personal image processing, or in case of additional activity, other than that predicted by the statute, realized by PLOMW).

You have the right to access your personal data, as well as the data of the supervised children, to correct the personal data, to transfer it, to limit its processing and to delete the data, depending what the basis is for the its processing. Moreover, you have the right to cancel your consent if the data is processed based on your consent. You also have the right to file a complaint to the governing body of personal data processing – the Chairman of the Office of Personal Data Protection.

Your personal data shall not be processed in an automated process, nor will it be profiled.

The period of processing your personal data depends on the current legal regulations basing on which we fulfill our duties. In case personal data is processed basing on your consent, the period, unless imposed by the current legal regulations, is regulated by us, depending on the actual needs. You shall always be informed about its duration.
