"Advent, Advent, ein Lichtlein brennt"
As every year before Christmas, we invited students from different Silesian primary schools for evaluation workshops.
"Advent, Advent, ein Lichtlein brennt” is an innovative education project for learners of German as a foreign language, organized by the Polish Association of German Teachers from Katowice and German Education Society from Opole. The project was initiated by Ms Małgorzata Bubik, MA. The workshops were conducted by Ms Katarzyna Sroka, MA, a German teacher from Complex of Academic Schools of Wrocław University of Technology, a guide in the Travellers Association TUiTAM, and a member of management in the Polish Association of German Teachers, department in Wrocław.
The project is addressed to students of secondary schools and German teachers from Silesian and Opole Voivodeships. It is based on the innovative method of evaluation, to which students have been included along with the teachers. This form of cooperation is beneficial for broadening knowledge and sharing ideas. During the workshops, students actively participated in the lesson, while teachers evaluated it. Every teacher obtained a certificate of participation in the project and a lesson script which they can make use of in their schools before Christmas.
