@Zwolnieni z Teorii w Wańkowiczu – addiction prevention
In our high school, we hosted an addiction specialist, Mr. Andrzej Pilch! The meeting was organized by students of class II, Dominika Rędzia and Marysia Bac, acting as part of the @Zwolnieni z Teorii project in Wańkowicz.
During the meeting, Mr. Andrzej raised many important issues regarding both chemical and behavioral addictions. We learned what mechanisms lead to addiction and how they can be counteracted. It was an extremely educational and valuable experience for all of us!
He emphasized how important the need for closeness is in the family, but also in the school community. He strongly recommended supporting each other in difficult situations and not downplaying messages from peers. As he said, sometimes that one trusted person becomes a confidante and prevents people from falling into addiction.
We would like to thank Dominika and Marysia for organizing the meeting and for their commitment to promoting mental health and coping with difficulties.
