Creative Workshops at "Karolinka" Care Center
An incredible wave of energy and warmth filled the "Karolinka" Nursing and Care Center, thanks to a unique art workshop organized as part of our "Colorful Autumn with Wańkowicz" project.
On this special day, art surpassed all age barriers. Youth and seniors worked shoulder to shoulder to create vibrant, autumn-themed artwork. The results of this intergenerational collaboration exceeded our highest expectations! The walls of the care center were decorated with colorful paper collages and moving, large-scale heart mosaics, filling the space with joy and cozy atmosphere.
Art, Empathy, and Intergenerational Connection
Yet, the most beautiful moments went far beyond the artwork itself—spontaneous conversations, genuine smiles, mutual support, and a deep sense of connection between the younger and older generations. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students for their commitment, empathy, and meaningful time shared with our seniors.
Special thanks go to the art teachers, especially Ms. Marta Zemła, for organizing these inspiring workshops and creating a breathtaking autumn decoration that transformed the center’s interior. We would also like to thank Ms. Małgosia Bubik, who has been working with “Karolinka” for many years, regularly visits the children in her care with her students—thereby teaching them empathy—and provides assistance to those in need while supporting the staff.
