We’re on our way to Dublin Airport now, bringing our short adventure in the Irish capital to a close. We were here from 19 to 23 June, and the weather – apart from a slightly rainy first day – turned out to be exceptionally kind to us.

Our base was the Staycity Dublin City Quay ** apartment hotel, which proved to be an extremely comfortable place to stay. Thanks to its excellent location, we were able to reach most of the attractions on foot, getting a glimpse of the daily life of Dublin’s residents along the way.

We spent Saturday exploring the heart of the city. We visited Trinity College, strolled through the streets of the historic centre, learnt about the history of Dublin Castle and the legend of Molly Malone – one of the most recognisable figures in Irish culture. The day also brought an unforeseen situation that could have thwarted our plans. However, thanks to our composure, mutual support and professional approach, the problem was quickly resolved, serving as another valuable lesson in responsibility and cooperation.

Sunday greeted us with glorious sunshine. We set off for picturesque Howth, where we marvelled at the spectacular cliffs and breathtaking views of the Irish Sea. And this time, too, there was no shortage of a touch of adventure. Fortunately, our ever-reliable ‘Sherlocks’ were on the ball, and the whole affair ended happily – and in spectacular fashion.

Monday was a day dedicated to culture and history. We visited the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology, where we were able to see priceless artefacts from the Green Island’s past. We then marvelled at the collections of the National Gallery of Ireland, discovering works of Irish and European art. Of course, there was also time to buy souvenirs to remind us of this unique trip.

Educational trips are about more than just visiting monuments and museums. They teach independence, responsibility, cooperation and openness to the world. They are also an opportunity to build relationships, discover new places and realise that the best memories often arise from unexpected events.

We still have one more leg of the journey ahead of us – a short city break in Munich. We’ll return home enriched by new experiences, knowledge and memories that are sure to stay with us for a long time to come.

Dublin – thank you for your hospitality. Slán go fóill! (See you soon!)
