Enchanted Prom Ball
On Friday, February 1st, a wonderful and successful event took place in Wańkowicz Private High School. That day, our soon-to-be graduates from the Polish high school and IB Diploma, who are taking their final exams in spring, celebrated the last 100 days before the exam session commences. The preparations took a few months as the whole initiative was impressive. Catering, DJ, decorations, presentations, polonaise dance, and so many other factors... Here, we would like to sincerely thank the fantastic mothers: Ms Bogusława Plewniok (3LO) and Ms Małgorzata Andrysiak (2DP), as well as the fantastic student Julia Plewniok (3LO).
On 6pm o'clock we commenced the ceremony by dancing polonaise. Students danced with their accompanying friends. Traditionally, the Headmistress and the Coordinator of High School danced as well. Later, we drank a toast and listened to short speeches by the Headmistress, Ms Jolanta Kałuża, and the representatives of Students and Parents. Nice gadgets emphasized the character of this part of the ceremony. Later, we watched presentations which the Headmistress praised a lot. Finally - fun until the early morning, that is, almost 4am! Beautiful outfits, decorations which reminded us of carnival in Venice, a room with a roulette straight from a James Bond movie, delicious food, fabulous music - all these factors created an unforgettable atmoshpere and great fun. Rumour has it that it was one of the best prom balls in the history of our high school...
Please feel free to take a look at the magnificent photographs from the ceremony.
