National Education Day
National Education Day is celebrated at our school every year. This year, the ceremony was also an opportunity to accept the first grade students of Private Middle High School “Amicus”, the first grade students of Private Wankowicz' s High School and the international program students from 0DP class into our school society.
This unique ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem and anthems of “Amicus” and our high school. Middle High School coordinator – Mr. Grzegorz Machalica conducted a swearing-in of middle high school students who solemnly pronounced the word of the oath. Next, high school students swore their oath.
Moreover, students gave our headmistress – Msr. Jolanta Kaluza and all the teachers best wishes and handed some flowers. Next, our principal had a very touching speech. In addition, students decided to distinguish the biology teacher – Mr. Artur Szymanek and gave him a gift of gratitude for his dedication and devotion.
After this official part, we saw a show performed by the class 1GC under the direction of its tutor – Mrs. Agnieszka Babio. The performance consisted of two parts. In the first part, announcers of the ceremony – Milena Machalica and Kamil Dlugosz directed to each teacher a fun, rhyming thanks containing information about specific features of a given teacher.
The second part of the show was a casual interpretation of Witold Gombrowicz's novel “Ferdydurke” that was a parody of the literature lessons conducted by Mrs. Agnieszka Babio. In addition, several middle high school freshmen presented their School Cones in the second edition of our school competition titled “Freshmen School Cone – what can be useful to all middle school students?”
The whole ceremony was an opportunity to appreciate the work of all teachers, but also the possibility to welcome officially all the students who begin their education in our school. After such a great acceptance of our freshmen, it only remains to wish a very fruitful work to all the teachers and the eagerness in gaining knowledge to all the students.
