Oxford-style debate
On Wednesday, May 23, the last debate in English (in this school year) took place in PLO im. Melchiora Wańkowicza, conducted cyclically for over 10 years, in the Oxford style. The event was used also in addition to testing new members of the school debate club and for checking in practice the new voting system and rating of the electorate, and a new improved and difficult formula of the debate itself. The topic of the rivalry was the question: 'Is it worth going to university? Does the European university model have more advantages or disadvantages?.' The debate was won by the option defending the legitimacy of supporting and developing formal higher education, under the leadership of Natalia Nowak, a slight difference and the result of 287 to 253 electoral votes.
