"Physics Connects Us" – Workshop Highlights at the Silesian Library
Science, passion, and projects that change the world! On March 17th, at the Silesian Library, students from Wańkowicz High School presented their original projects as part of the Social Wolves (Zwolnieni z Teorii) olympiad.
Event highlights included:
- Maglevity: Practical uses with levitation.
- Pressure in solids, liquids, and gases: Discussing pressure and demonstrating various ways of measuring it.
- Human sensors: This project shows how the ear detects sound waves and how the eye uses a lens to focus light waves into images, all explained through physics.
- Electricity and Magnetism: Investigating factors affecting the strength of an electromagnet and performing experiments for younger students.
- Man in Space: International Space Station, Poles in space, Mars colonization, preparations, timing, goals, and the human body's reaction.
We were thrilled to host 7th and 8th graders from schools across the region. Thank you for being with us!
Special Guest: Prof. Armand Cholewka Under the Patronage of: The University of Silesia and the Mayor of the City of Katowice.
