Polish-German exchange in Cologne
From 31 March to 4 April 2025, we had the pleasure of participating in an international student exchange in Cologne, hosted by our partner school, Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium. This was Ms Jolanta Kaluza's first visit to this school, which made it special for all the participants.
We started each day with integration games, which allowed us to get to know each other better and strengthen our bonds with our German colleagues. As part of the programme, we visited Cologne Cathedral, a symbol of the city, and attended a workshop at Europa Punkt Bonn, where we discussed common European values. We also had the opportunity to listen to a wonderful concert at the Cologne Philharmonic Hall.
During our stay in Cologne, we celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium by participating in various events related to this celebration. The school, founded in 1825, celebrated its 200th anniversary under the slogan ‘200 Jahre Fliegen Wir Gemeinsam’, highlighting its long tradition and community character.
At the end of our visit, we visited the Chocolate Museum, where we learnt about the history and production process of chocolate under guidance and had the opportunity to taste different types of chocolate.
The time we spent together in Cologne was extremely valuable and inspiring. We hope that the friendships made during the exchange will stand the test of time and result in more meetings in the future.
