Students of our school with distinction at the BioMedTech Silesia conference!
On May 30, 2025, our high school students – Sara Słabińska and Agata Flak – took an active part in the prestigious BioMedTech Silesia conference, which took place within the walls of the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Cardiac Surgery Development Foundation in Zabrze. The girls presented a paper entitled “Application of AI in medicine”, prepared under the supervision of Ms. Marta Skwarek.
The work was qualified for presentation from among the entries submitted to the competition organized by Mr. Zbigniew Nawrat, PhD – an outstanding Polish theoretical physicist, specialist in the field of biophysics and medical robotics. The presentation of our students was appreciated by the jury and awarded with distinction and a diploma. We were the only team from among secondary school students.
Participation in the BioMedTech Silesia conference is a unique opportunity to meet peers interested in biology, medicine and modern technologies, as well as to talk to scientists working on groundbreaking solutions in the field of cardiac surgery robotics and more.
This is the tenth time we have represented our school at this inspiring event and we can say with full conviction: it is worth it! Participation in the conference not only broadens scientific horizons, but also motivates further self-development and discovering passions.
We would like to congratulate Sara and Agata, and encourage all students to take similar initiatives!
