Summary of BioMedTech Silesia
On 15–16 May, the 24th BioMedTech Silesia Conference took place in Zabrze at the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery. During the event, students, researchers and young science enthusiasts presented selected papers that had successfully passed the selection process.
On the first day of the conference, two third-year students from the Melchior Wańkowicz General Secondary School gave their presentations. Agata Flak discussed issues related to transplantology, whilst Victor Kozik prepared a presentation and his own original model depicting magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
The projects were assessed by a jury comprising renowned specialists: Prof. Zbigniew Nawrat, Dr Jan Sarna, Dr Artur Turek (Pharm.D.) and Dr Paweł Kowalczyk (Eng.). The teachers who had prepared the students for their presentations also took part in the jury’s deliberations.
Victor Kozik’s presentation was well received by the committee and was awarded a commendation.
We warmly congratulate Victor on his success and both students on their successful presentations at the conference. We would also like to extend our thanks and congratulations to Ms Marta Skwarek, MA, who provided the students with the necessary preparation for this event.
