The Best Teacher in the Silesian Province - from Wańkowicz
On December 6, 2017, the Santa Claus Day, in the assembly hall of the Regional Teachers’ Training Centre in Katowice, the ceremony of awarding the winners of the city/municipality Contest for the Best Teacher. There were three categories in the competition. The contest was organised by „Dziennik Zachodni” (a local newspaper), and was co-organised by Regional Teachers’ Training Centre in Katowice. Its patron was the Marshal of the Silesian Province, Mr Wojciech Saługa.
We are genuinely honoured to announce that the Polish teacher from Melchior Wańkowicz Private High School, an IB Diplomma Programme teacher, and the Coordinator of the Polish Matura Programme, Mr Janusz Woźniak was awarded with the first prize in the category: high schools. Thus, he has officially become the Best Teacher in Katowice.
Simultaneously, he became a finalist of the province level of the competition in the Silesian Province. There, he won the first prize as well. As it was written in „Dziennik Zachodni” – there was no match for him...
