Trip to Scotland
Since Saturday, 21 June, we have been exploring Scotland. On Saturday we explored Glasgow, visiting the city centre and the Riverside Museum, which showcases the history of modes of transport, from ships to modern vehicles.
On Sunday we moved on to Edinburgh, where impressive attractions awaited us, such as the National Museum of Scotland (one of the best), Edinburgh Castle with its picturesque views and the Royal Mile, a lively street with numerous shops and cafes. We also saw the royal palace of Hollyrood and the Scottish Parliament and city centre with the Town Hall, all of which delighted us with their architecture.
We spent Monday by Loch Lomond. We enjoyed a boat cruise on the lake, admiring the beautiful scenery, and also visited Sea Life Loch Lomond Aquarium, where we discovered the fascinating world of sea creatures.
To conclude our trip, on Tuesday, we visited the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, known for its extensive art collection (including Dali, Monet, Pissarro) and exhibitions. We also saw St Mung's Cathedral and the Museum of World Religions, which shed light on the diversity of beliefs and traditions.
The participants were enthusiastic about learning about Scottish culture. The memories of the trip will remain in our minds for a long time! Tomorrow we are going back home.
