We Are Still Helping!
The management, Students, their parents and teachers of all Schools and both Kindergartens of our Complex during the winter holidays, from the day when the Russian army launched its brutal attack on the Neighbor's territory, joined the nationwide campaign to help the inhabitants of Ukraine. A campaign to help those who decided to stay on their land and defend their home against the barbarian invaders, as well as those who decided to seek shelter for themselves and their loved ones in our homeland - Poland. The collection of
clothes,
blankets,
food,
hygiene products,
dressing materials and medicines
for people coming to our borders and staying in Ukraine, initiated by us, continues. We have so far sent five shipments; one to Przemyśl, one to the border in Dołhobyczów and three to Ukraine, to Lviv, where our associates deal with the further distribution of gifts to places where they are most needed. The amount that we have managed to collect so far in our online collection amounts to over PLN 25,000. We used some of the money to buy the drugs needed in Ukraine, and some of the money was used to cover the costs of transporting the gifts to the East. The school campaign of collecting teddy bears and cuddly toys for Ukrainian kids, who - often in what they were put on on the day they escaped from the war - tired, cold and hungry, reached our borders, also brought results exceeding our expectations! It is impossible not to notice the fact that some of us have been hosting people in their homes for several days, who had to leave everything they had and fled their beloved cities, towns and villages to save their lives and their children, often leaving their husbands, brothers or fathers in Ukraine. Although we would like the war, its tragedies and all its cruelty to end as soon as possible, we realize that our help may be needed for a long time to come. That's why we work all the time! Thanking you for a huge heart, empathy and generosity: Parents of Students, Students, Teachers, Graduates and Friends of the Private School Complex in Katowice, please: Do not give up! So far, we will continue to share with you information about our activities, ask for further commitment and ask to publish lists of the current needs of our Friends who have been affected by aggression, cruelty and suffering on a scale unheard of for several decades in Europe. Let us be with them in these difficult days. Let us show them our solidarity, compassion, and moral and material support. After all, they define our humanity.
