10th Grand Finale of "Zwolnieni z Teorii"
On May 23, 2024, the Grand Finale of Released from Theory ("Zwolnieni z Teorii") took place at the Służewiec Horse Racing Track in Warsaw. This is a unique celebration of social projects implemented in the 10th edition of the Released from Theory Olympiad. It was the day when projects that had a positive impact not only on local communities, but also on millions of beneficiaries throughout Poland and even abroad, were awarded!
There were many surprises prepared for the Grand Finale. There were, among others:
- Zones with attractions such as: Integration Zone, Inspiration Zone, Chill Zone, Partner Stand Zone, Project Development Zone, Expert Zone, Teachers and Directors Zone, and VIP Zone.
- Pitch Contest - quarter-finals and semi-finals, in which the Finalists had the opportunity to present their project in front of hundreds of people in the audience and a jury composed of representatives of the business world.
- Silver Gala, during which Silver Wolves were awarded to the best projects from each voivodeship.
- Gold Gala, during which the best of the best projects were awarded.
- There were partner zones, such as PwC, Pracuj.pl, ING
- Food Truck Zone
- and many more.
Special guests appeared at the Final Gala. There were ministers and secretaries of state from the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Digitization and the Ministry of European Union Affairs, heads of universities, the Mayor of Warsaw, business partners of the Zwolnieni z Teorii Foundation, as well as presidents of financial institutions and many specialists.
From our school, the following people came to the final: Agata Flak, Eliza Masłowska, Emilia Badora, Hania Ziemba, Iga Kulig, Victoria Konik, and Cyprian Kłuskowicz. We all agree that the event was incredibly well prepared! It made a great impression and gave a positive kick to implement future projects.
In the general classification, our school took 131st place out of 458 qualified secondary schools. In Silesia we were in 21st place, and in Katowice we were in 3rd place!
Our best school project - You are not alone, awarded with the Bronze Wolf, was implemented by: Hania Ziemba, Emilia Maziarz and Kinga Głąb (High School in Chorzów). Congratulations! It was a well-prepared project that went beyond the walls of the school. The event was supported by, among others, Artur Rojek. The project lived on social media, where the girls posted about their activities. As we saw at the final, the teams that were highly rated by the jury operated in this way. It is definitely worth taking an example from them.
It is worth adding that projects with a similar theme, such as You are not alone, were among the top awarded works, so the topic was very popular.
