"IDO - Die Internationale Deutscholympiade" Freiburg 2018
We are pleased to inform that our teacher, Ms Małgorzata Bubik, MA, the Chairwoman of the Polish Association of German Teachers, Department in Katowice, the Coordinator of the National German Contest „Lust auf Lesen?”, has been chosen as a member of jury in the International German Competition „IDO - Die Internationale Deutscholympiade”, organized by Goethe Institut and IDV - Der Internationale Deutschlehrerinnen- und Deutschlehrerverband.
Other members of the jury were: a representative of IDV from India, a member of Österreich Institut management, a representative from Switzerland, and three professors of University of Education in Freiburg.
The tasks of the jury were to supervise the competition problems and to mark the works. There were about 140 IDO participants from over 70 countries. They had three tasks. The first one was to prepare a collage about a chosen topic, the second one was performed in teams of four – the preparation of short presentations concerning a selected topic (level A2 – B2). The last task depended on the level of knowledge of German, and its goal was to prepare a story about a given drawing (level B2). All works were marked by the jury.
Our teacher, Małgorzata Bubik, first marked the A2 group’s collages, then the B1 presentations, and finally – the B2 stories.
Apart from their work for IDO, the jury also participated in a trip to Strasburg, organized for all participants of the contest. Sightseeing of Freiburg was in the itinerary as well. „Länderabend” was an interesting event during which young people presented information about their country.
We appreciate Ms Bubik’s engagement and wish her success in her future projects.
