National Contest "Transplant Yourself Some Health"
On Monday, June 11th, the assembly hall of our School hosted the final event of the national contest "Transplant Yourself Some Health". The competition was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Jagiellonian University, Silesian Piasts Medical University in Wrocław, Department of Biology and Environmental Protection of University of Silesia, Main Sanitary Inspector, Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Centre in Katowice, The Polish Chamber of Physicians and Dentists, Mazowsze Board of Education, Lower Silesian Board of Education, The Polish Association of Epidemiology Nurses, and the President of Katowice.
It was the second edition of the contest, with more than four thousand participants, middle schoolers from all over Poland. 18 of them made it to the final stage. The laureates are as follows:
1. Karolina Pończyk from Wrocław University of Technology Academic Complex of Schools (supervisor: Ms Anna Polinceusz)
2. Filip Dziuba from Middle School No. 17 in Tychy (superviosor: Ms Małgorzata Niedziela)
3. Dawid Krykowski from Primary School No. 4 in Rybnik (supervisor: Ms Justyna Nocoń)
4. Julia Makles from Primary School No. 3 in Kłobuck (supervisor: Ms Izabela Śledziona)
5. Weronika Błaszkowska from Primary School No. 2 in Żuków (supervisor: Ms Janina Kozyra).
The following Guests graced us with their presence: Dr Marek Asman from the Institute of Parasitology, Department of Pharmacy with the Institute of Laboratory Medicine in Sosnowiec, Silesian University of Medicine, at the same time being the Vice-Chairman of the Katowice branch of the Polish Parasitology Chamber; Dr Mirosława Malara, the Chairwoman of the Polish Association of Epidemiology Nurses, and Ms Anna Packo from the Regional Sanitary-Epidemiology Station.
