POLISH-UKRAINIAN YOUTH EXCHANGE
Students of first and second grades of M. Wańkowicz Private High School participate in a project called "A bridge over borders. Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange". The exchange takes place from September 20 to 27, 2015. The endeavour is realized in agreement with seven Ukrainian high schools and seven Polish high schools. A group of total 70 students from the Ukraine, who normally live in areas endangered with an armed conflict, studies the neighbour's language along with the Polish students and shares knowledge on their history, tradition and culture.
The guardian of our students is our school pedagogue - Mr Grzegorz Machalica. On the first day of the exchange, students and schools were presented. Our youth was truly amazing! The other day, the group from Wańkowicz won a cup in bowling. Over the next days, the students will prepare seminars, presentations and integration games, which will allow the participants to know each other better, Some local trips are scheduled as well, among others to Silesian Park in Chorzów, Będzin Castle and Coal Mine "Guido" in Zabrze. To finish the project, the students will prepare a collaborative Polish-Ukrainian Culture Evening.
