Success at BioMedTech Silesia science conference
Students of our school attended the 14th edition of BIOMEDTECH SILESIA 2017 JUNIOR science conference, which took place on March 31st 2017 in the seat of Zbigniew Religa Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery in Zabrze. Students presented their work as part of the Junior session – Junior High Schooler and High Schooler.
Amicus Private Junior High School and Melchior Wańkowicz Private High School were represented by:
- Aleksandra Syrkiewicz-Trepiak: Ozone therapy – an underestimated method of treatment. Supervised by: Marta Skwarek.
- Olga Tomanek: Out of shade - so everything about development and therapy of depression. Supervised by: Marta Skwarek.
- Izabela Wrzeska: Materials used in medicine. Supervised by: Marta Skwarek.
- Magda Sajdak, Julia Plewniok: The risk of contracting Borrelia burgodorferi sensu lato, Anaplasma phagocytophiulum and Rickettsią helvetica on selected recreation areas of Mysłowice city. Supervised by: Artur Szymanek, MSc.
The conference is organized by doc. Zbigniew Nawrat – the director of the Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery in Zabrze. The annual conference is dedicated to progress in the field of bioengineering and medical biotechnology. During every edition, participants show their work connected with engineering, biology, and medicine, related to saving lives and maintaining health.
We are pleased to inform you that the following students have been awarded:
- Magda Sajdak and Julia Plewniok, students of 1 LO class, who were awarded with the first prize, received the BMT SILESIA JUNIOR statuette, and will give a speech during the Laureate session on April 7th 2017;
- Olga Tomanek, a student of 0DP class, who won the third prize.
