THE COURIOSITIES OF PHYSICS
On September 16th students of our Polish Wankowicz High School and students of our international programs IB and IGCSE went to Physics Department of Silesia University for series of lectures titled “The Curiosities of Physics”. All the presentations supplemented students' knowledge and helped them to consolidate their information.

The Beauty of Nano and Microworld
Nature uses phenomena and principles of nano particles for millions years. Humans mastered the simplest technology only a few thousand years ago, and they have researched the peculiarities of the world in the nano and micro scale only for several decades. However, it turns out that even the most basic phenomena encountered in the world are very fascinating.
Particles at Ease
Strong interactions in the solid give rise to related systems, often arranged in crystal lattice. Can we break these bonds and get the molecules at ease? What characteristics are such molecules? Do you remember the principles of Archimedes, Pascal, Bernoulli? Why do ships sail and planes fly? And sailboats? And hot air balloons?
On the Trail of Light
Light not only carries life-giving energy from Sun, but also it carries information about the environment necessary to support the life. Parts of this information carried outside of violet and red light areas are not recorded directly on the retina and they escape our senses. Let's look for hidden clues together and see what's not visible.
