On December 6th, 2018, the big day came for all finalists of The First Extramural Artistic-Linguistic Competition "Spaß-Fun-Diversión".

The contest "Spaß-Fun-Diversión" consists of four separate competetions targeted at different age groups. The contest is organized by The Polish Association of German Teachers in Katowice. It was created and coordinated by Ms Małgorzata Bubik, MA.

"Hare, Egg, and What Else", "Oh, These Holidays!", and "Not Just Christmas Ornaments and Trees" were addressed to students of primary school and the third grade of middle school, while "Foreign Languages? Why? What For?" was addressed to students of secondary schools.

All pieces of work submitted were marked by the jury. Five students who scored the highest were invited to the final stage.

28 students from 20 different Silesian schools showed their works in front of the jury, which consisted of 10 people. We were honoured by the presence of the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Marcin Tyslik. Other jurors were: the Director of the Teachers' Training Centre in Sosnowiec, Ms Dorota Szewczyk, Teachers' Training Consultant, Ms Joanna Leś, a representative of Regional Teachers' Training Centre "WOM" in Katowice, Ms Marianna Kłyk, and the Headmistress of the Complex of Schools No 2 in Ruda Śląska, Ms Anna Wlaszczyk.
