The regional stage of the 5th TURBOLANDESKUNDE National Contest
On March 8th, 29 schools participated in the regional stage of the 5th TURBOLANDESKUNDE National Contest in the seat of Polish Association of German Teachers in Katowice. The jury consisted of the representatives of Polish-Austrian Association, Ms Bogumiła Kmieć, PhD, a member of PAA, the chairwoman of the department of PAA in Częstochowa, and Ms Beata Nawrocka, MA, the vice-chairwoman of the department of PAA in Częstochowa. The team from Adam Mickiewicz High School No 2 in Racibórz won the first place and, at the same time, the promotion to the final stage. Students from Adam Mickiewicz High School No 3 in Katowice won the second place, and Motherland of Cieszyn Silesia Complex of Economic-Gastronomic Schools - the third place. Congratulations to all winners and participants, students and teachers, who put a lot of effort in preparing their pupils.
Moreover, workshops were organized for the participants and teachers. The latter participated in a workshop organized as part of #krk_vernetzt Goethe Institut Krakau, conducted by Ms Alicja Mainusch-Buhl, MA, from the House for Polish-German Cooperation. Workshops in Polish were prepared by Mr Grzegorz Machalica, MA, who discussed risky types of behaviour among youth. The participants could choose from the following workshops: Team Building, Magic in Spanish, Anatomy of the Digestive System of Rodents, Chemistry. All workshops received great acclaim from teachers and students.
