To save the children in the Horn of Africa
We are very pleased to inform you that we have been awarded the UNICEF Poland diploma for our involvement in the "Save the children of Africa" campaign.
The main objective of the campaign was to raise awareness of humanitarian aid and the problems of the inhabitants of the so-called Horn of Africa. As part of the campaign, IGCSE2 students independently prepared an educational brochure in which they outlined the most important causes and consequences of the aforementioned problems. They concerned both natural factors and those related to human activity. What's more, the students also conducted a number of lessons in the younger classes of our school using the materials provided by UNICEF, as well as their own materials.
The culmination of the action was the organization of a charity fair, from which the entire income - PLN 550 - was donated to help children as part of the UNICEF Poland humanitarian aid. The fact of joining the program is another proof of how engaged and socially sensitive the students of our school are.
