Webinars of the Polish UNESCO Committee on sustainable development
In October 2022, our high school students of extended geography started a series of online lectures on issues related to sustainable development, organized by the Polish UNESCO Committee.
The invited experts: active scientists and specialists in their fields, familiarized students with issues related to the impact of human activity on the environment. The subject of web seminars covers the most important contemporary environmental and anthropogenic issues, i.e. the protection of biodiversity, water and its role, the problem of waste, as well as the protection of cultural heritage in the context of sustainable development.
These meetings are an opportunity to learn about the latest scientific achievements in this field. It is all the more important that the subject of sustainable development and the pursuit of the 17 goals set out in the 2030 Agenda is currently at the heart of the activities of the UNESCO Associated Schools network to which we are pleased to belong.
