You are not alone – support for young people's mental problems
Hania Ziemba and Estela Hytra from our high school, together with their friends Kinga Głąb from the High School in Chorzów Batory and Emilia Maziarz from the Mikołaj Kopernik Secondary School, organized an inspiring meeting as part of the "You are not alone" project. The aim of the project is to reach young people and teachers with a message about the importance of mental health and social support. In this way, they want to help young people struggling with mental problems.
About 150 people from various schools participated in the meeting. During the event, statistical data illustrating the extent of mental problems in society were presented. The organizers also prepared a quiz and interviewed a famous singer, Artur Rojek, who also performed and sang at the event. The guest willingly answered young people's questions, shared his story, talked about his passion for music and the path he has traveled as an artist. The psychologist's voice could not be missing. Ms. Kateryna Bondarenko told us how and where to seek psychological help.
The whole thing took place as part of the national project "Released from Theory", in which students create their own social initiative intended to change the way of thinking and acting on a topic of their choice.
We strongly believe that the meeting raised awareness of mental health issues and provided support and inspiration to young people.
Big congratulations, girls! It was a well-prepared and well-thought-out meeting. Thank you!
